Dr. Malalai Sultani completed her Doctor of Optometry in California, graduating on Dean’s List, as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, and as one of the Top 2019 Graduates from Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry.
During her time in Southern California, Dr. Sultani was a part of the executive boards of the Optometry Private Practice Business Club and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, as well as a founding member of the environmentally-conscious EARTH club on her campus and a Nutrition in Medicine scholar. Her fourth-year clinical rotations provided her with extensive training in ocular disease, with an emphasis on treating and managing macular degeneration, glaucoma, and dry eye.
Dr. Sultani spent her childhood in Burnaby before her family relocated to Calgary. Now, after leaving Los Angeles behind, she has happily returned to settle in Vancouver.
She loves being by the ocean, staying active at her boxing gym and barre studio, and trying new restaurants.
